Bevor ich anfing diesen Beitrag zu schreiben, schaute ich kurz von der Couch hoch und fragte Paige, wie sie ihren Einrichtungsstil eigentlich selber beschreiben würde. 'Pretty eclectic.' Stimmt, warum muss man es eigentlich immer auf einen bestimmten Stil runterbrechen. Wahrscheinlich fühle ich mich deswegen so wohl hier. Das Haus von Kyle und Paige hat nämlich ganz viel Persönlichkeit, die man spürt.
Beide waren viel in der Welt unterwegs und so fügen sich die unterschiedlichen Einflüsse am Ende ganz einfach wie ein Puzzle zusammen. Hier findet sich also ein Mix aus unterschiedlichen Ländern und Zeiten. Vintage trifft auf Retro, gemischt mit modernem Design, Boho-Flair und urbanen Chic.
Und ab und an trifft der Blick auch auf skandinavisches Design. Und alles fügt sich ganz wunderbar in das (nicht mehr ganz so neue Haus) im typischen amerikanischen Stil ein.

Before I started to write this post, I glanced up from the couch and asked Paige how she would describe her interior style. 'Pretty eclectic.' Right, why breaking it down to one particular style? Probably that's the reason why I'm feeling so comfortable, because of this eclectic style. That is what you can feel in Paige and Kyle's home - their personality.
Both have been traveling around the world a lot and you can feel the different influences through the whole house. There is a mix of different countries and times - retro meets modern design, boho flair, and a little bit of urban chic. You can see the influence of Scandinavian design throughout also. All of this fits perfectly into this historic and traditional American house.
Na gut, dass alles so harmonisch zusammenspielt liegt natürlich hauptsächlich an dem ausgezeichneten Gespür für Design von Paige und dem talentierten sowie kreativen Kyle. Beide ergänzen sich prima und haben so ein perfektes Zuhause geschaffen, in dem auch nach drei Jahren immer noch neue Projekte warten und ich bin gespannt, wie es das nächste Mal aussehen wird.

The reason why it all fits together so well is mainly due to Paige's excellent sense of design and Kyle's creativity and execution of projects. Both compliment each other and created a perfect home and even after three years there are still new projects in progress. I'm pretty excited how it will look like the next time I am here!
Die Küche ist das neuste Prunkstück und mein absoluter Favorit. Die Fliesen, das Schwarz-Weiße-Konzept und der riesige (alte) Gasherd gefallen mir sehr. Außerdem bin ich großer Fan von offenen Wohn- und Küchenbereichen - ihr habt die Küchensituation nicht vorher sehen können - klein, eng und wenig zum Kochen einladend.

The kitchen is the latest showpiece and my personal favorite. The tiles, the black and white concept with pops of color, and the huge refurbished gas stove (from 1986) makes it the perfect kitchen. I am also a big fan of open-plan living and kitchen areas. You should have seen the kitchen before - small, cramped and not very inviting for cooking.
So now you know my favorite place to live in San Diego! Thank you so much for having us guys!
